Its Britney Bitch: Relevant in New Music, etc.

September 6th, 2007 Posted in Entertainment, MP3

Britney Spears has given horny nerds and teeny-bopers’ a challenge to flood Google and Perez Hilton alike. Britney Spears and/or her team of promoters chose Labor Day Weekend to “accidentally” leak her Comeback album’s 1st single “Gimme More”, and over the passed couple of days, 5 new songs (not all to be included in her new album) leaked.

“Why do we still care so much about Britney Spears? Not sure. We’re drawn to the crazy! And there’s no one quite like her.”

-Perez
Only one of the five leaked tracks is officially going to be included to her new album, the rest are promotional demos recording in 2005 and were reportedly leaked by Jive Records, oh and we can expect 18 more demos to become available throughout the next few weeks, SOURCE. FUCKING SHOCKING isn’t it?! The collection of tracks leaked definitely have a electro-rave quality to them (MP3: Everybody, Been A While, Your…), while the rest remind me of something that didn’t make it onto Shock Value. The best track of the bunch is without a doubt, Everybody. The predominately bubbly-electric sounding track pulls a Kanye and experly samples Eurythmics classic “Sweet Dreams”. Decidedly, “Everybody” is pretty good, and it doesn’t need a “…for Britney” suffix. I do smell 2nd single.

Been A While, and Your… are cute and fun, but they’re no “Toxic” or “Gimme More” for that matter. One thing I do love about Spears is the fact that I can’t say her shit sounds like everything else. If Britney Spears can do something right, it is sounding unique (not sure if thats a good thing or not). From what I’ve heard so far, Britney’s comeback is going to be a riot! The still untitled comeback album will officially hit stores November 12th worldwide, but Americans and their brothers to the North will have to wait until the next day to purchase the album. For a fun list of recent Britney leaks, check out the Hype Machine. In other Britney news, MTV reports that Britney will indeed open up this year’s VMAs, and they promise a disappointment-free performance — so what? Is she going to please the haters too, well then I guess its safe to say, “Watch Britney perform ‘Gimme More’ perfectly while embarrassing herself for the cameras”!

HBO featured Justin Timberlake’s “FutureSex/LoveShow” tour at Madison Square Garden (NYC) taped on August 16th. Click here to watch a few videos from the HBO concert uploaded by user angdiddy1 on Youtube. Check it out. Enjoy

Arg, it sounds like an oversexed kitten. Pass

  10. C Says:

Did you just compare Britney to Kanye? What the fuck dude! Are you insane? Kanye West’s new album is and will be a 1000000 times better than Britney Spears’ shit!

With that said, I do like Everybody, it has that certain uniqueness to it, it makes my legs move

  11. Liam Says:

I don’t think he was comparing Britney Spears to Kanye West but referring to Kanye’s mastery of sampling other songs. “Everybody” does an amazing job of Sampling “Sweet Dreams”. Thank you for the mp3s Luis, PrettyMuchAmazing is looking really good.

    Peace,

    L

  12. DJ Jake Says:

  13. James Says:

Is anyone else dreading this “Comeback” I am seriously, I fear for my life. Its fucking rediculous.

  14. Darren Says:

I second what James and Perez said. We only care about this because we want to see Britney crash and burn!

    -D

  15. Miccah Says:

I don’t know what you’re talking about guys, Britney has a surefire hit with “Gimme More”, its already a hot featured track on pop radio :)

  16. Christian Says:

Well Britney will always crash and burn in a critical sense, unless she dishes out some serious pop goodness like Justin Timberlake did with his “FutureSex/LoveSounds”, but from what I’ve heard, its not half bad. Her two new songs are actually in that “Toxic” level, the level most people claim to be “the best of Britney” (I agree). If Britney releases an album full of “Toxic”-quality songs she might have herself a solid Pop release. Amazing production and innovative lyrics is what got Justin Timberlake a “Best Album” Grammy nod, Britney has that chance as well (did you really see JT as GRAMMY worthy before fs/ls?). “Gimme More” freakishly reminds me of SexyBack, “Everybody” is extremely club-worthy and has some fun lyrics to boot. I know I will probably be let down, but I have high hopes for Britney. I guess I shall cheer or cry on November 13th.

As always, ace work my friend! Have a good weekend Luis!

    C Out!

  17. Luis Says:

I definitely agree with you. Britney has massive potential to release one of the best pop/dance albums of the year. People can’t judge Britney too harshly, she is what she is, you can’t compare her to other music, comepare her to other dance-club orriented artists like Hilary Duff’s newest release, Just Jack’s new track, Paris Hilton (you can’t deny her album is a club hopper), and yes, Justin Timberlake. JT pretty much runs the business right now. Props to him, his HBO show was fucking amazing. I am hella excited to see Britney this weekend.

Thanks for the comments and love guys, see y’all monday with a VMA vids and such and remix mixtape.

  18. DJ Jake Says:

Awesome, I’m excited to get my hands on that remix mixtape.

  19. Sammy Says:

Britney Spears doesn’t compare to Justin Timberlake, oh don’t even go there. LOL

  20. Leo Says:

Justin Timberlake is about the only Pop act I approve of at the moment, Nelly Furtado lost her flair and the rest of it seems like an idiotic mash. Britney Spears seems to be a huge part of that mash, I’ll pass on these. Though I have heard her new single on the radio, I regret not turning it off.

  21. JD Says:

Is anyone concerned about the video or performance? Last time I checked, girlfriend was a mess.

  22. Rich Says:

She is a mess, that’s why she should hold off this whole comeback thing til she can deliver her best. Her fans deserve that much

  23. Jordan Says:

I think “Gimme More” and “Everyday” are exactly what Britney Fans want. The songs are extremely hot and definitely club-worthy. I am definitely excited for the VMAs tonight! I’m sure she won’t disappoint.

  24. Stereogum Says:

For those who won’t be catching the VMAs tonight, go to Stereogum.com for the live-blog broadcast.

  25. Jerom Says:

All I am interested in is Britney’s performance, just wondering if she can still pull it off.

I heard she’s performing two songs, hopefully Gimme More and Everybody. Can she still pull it off?

  26. Tei Says:

I guarentee you that by Monday morning that performance will be all over YouTube and Google Video.

  27. Drake Says:

I am loving that new matchbox twenty song/video!

    Thanks

BTW why do you guys care about britney spears

  28. BENJAMIN Says:

she is just the boom. Ilove it. lovely bitch!!

  29. Perez Hilton Says:

    Oh Luis, you snarky queen!
