I was walking to work this morning when a giant poster of Miss Alicia Keys‘ gorgeous mug caught my eye. The poster screamed: Alicia Key’s new album “As I Am” hits stores Nov 13!! In the New York Times article which recalls an interview with Keys, she says something really interesting about fame and being a celebrity: “Celebrity is like a drug. In its purest form you get well known for something that you do, that you do well. That’s a genuine emotion, and then you love what you do, and you want to share it with the world, and then people say: ‘Well, you’ve got to do this this this this this. In three days you’re doing seven countries, go.’ And you go, ‘O.K., well I’ve got to go, go go go go.” She added, “Instead of you living your life, your life is living you.”
