Rolling Stone garnered some favor from many bloggers with its Best 100 Songs of 2007, but their album list is really messed up. Yes, it does have its moments, but for the most part it makes you want to chuck things at them. Like staplers or bowling balls, that sort of thing.
Hate, Dislike, and the Weird
03 Jay-Z - American Gangster - What is up with people putting American Gangster anywhere on their Top 5? It was good, but Top 5? Naaah.
08 Rilo Kiley - Under the Blacklight - They’ve got to be kidding me. Rilo Kiley’s newest was one of the biggest disappointments of 2007, right after Cartel - CARTEL!.
13 Lily Allen - Alright, Still - Having Lily Allen on your Top 20 is just ignorant.
21 Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero - Little Trent getting his rocks off in front of his conspiracymachine is not my kind of thing.
34 Chris Brown - Exclusive - Chris Brown ahead of Feist. DEAR GOD.
35 Feist - The Reminder - Chris Brown ahead of Feist. DEAR GOD.
36 Alicia Keys - As I Am - Chris Brown ahead of Alicia Keys. DEAR GOD.
40 Amy Winehouse - Back to Black - Chris Brown ahead of Amy Winehouse. DEAR GOD.
41 of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer? - Chris Brown ahead of Of Montreal. DEAR GOD.
42 Wilco - Sky Blue Sky - Chris Brown ahead of Wilco. DEAR GOD.
46 Fall Out Boy - Infinity on High - Kind of Surprised, bit the positioning is absurd.
Feeling that resembles liking, but not quite
01 M.I.A. - Kala - It’s great to see that Kala is being crowned as the best album of the year, by such a popular (and obviously crazy) publication. I can’t really say it any better, I’m still in shock over the whole Chris Brown fiasco.
06 Radiohead - In Rainbows - Leave it to RS to put Radiohead where they belong. At 6th Place. No Metal for you, but ribbons are always nice.
09 Against Me! - New Wave - Didn’t see this coming, but I like it.
10 Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga - You’d think that with all the amazing albums, Spoon would be the biggest band ever, but they have been grossly underrated for so long, I’m happy to see them scoring so high.
12 Bright Eyes - Cassadaga - The cool folk hero.
27 Miranda Lambert - Crazy Ex-Girlfriend - Can’t really complain about it’s position, I mean it is a country album and it is Rolling Stone.
50 Britney Spears - Blackout - Unbelievably glad Blackout made some list, too bad the best mainstream pop album of the year is only placed at No. 50.
what the hell?!? The whole list is whack?!?! I think they just went by names and didn’t even listen to half the albums on the list.
This list makes me want to cry
This list makes me want to punch babies!!
Horrible!! Just horrible! Chris Brown ahead of Wilco and Feist?! Dear God! is right
What are those RollingStone losers smoking?
Wow, what a terrible list.
Not gonna lie; I liked Chris Brown’s CD, but not enough to place it where RS did.
And forgive me if I’ve made this claim before, but Maroon 5 and Smashing Pumpkins got put AHEAD of the Foo Fighters?
That’s just a sin against God and Man.

Rolling Stone’s list is pretty absurd (Bruce Springsteen… come on), but you can’t look me in the eye and say Amy Winehouse’s album wasn’t one of the most solid albums of the year… You should totally check out her London Live footage over at MOJOHD.com
My mother saw Feist on the Today show. She then started singing 1-2-3-4; I threw up in my mouth a little bit. If I have to hear that track one more time, I might actually hurl completely.
