Idea: My 200-300 Favorite Songs of All-Time

So I have always wanted to find out for myself, what are my favorite songs of all time? I have mentally listed a few dozens… ok many dozens of songs that I consider to be my all-time favorites. I don’t want to bite more than I can chew (at least comfortably…) so I figured I’d ask first, is this something anyone would want to see?

I know something like this would take hours upon hours of work… like my 215(ish) Favs of 2007, which thankfully received tons of Elbo.ws/blog love, so it made it worth while. But, I think with this one, I wouldn’t publish a full-blown list, at least not at the same time. I could make it a year long blogathon-type thing, where I post one or two of the songs a day. I have figured this would be the most practical thing to do, at least now.

Just to make note of, I am not, I REPEAT, not going to number or rank the songs in any which way. That’s too damn difficult and the last few times I’ve done that, people have wanted to hurt me, very badly. So these 200-300 songs will be mentioned but none numbered, at least not directly. This list/series would be, of course, 100% my opinion, not as a music critic, but as a fan.

So it’s on the table? Anyone wanna open it?
