Nah Right reports that the Roots might be ditching the Patrick Stump-fueled “Birthday Girl” as Rising Down’s first single in favor of the title track itself. “Rising Down” is the collaboration everyone has been waiting for. I definitely prefer this piece of masterwork over the Gym Class Hereo-esque alternative.

I never liked Chrisette Michelle’s voice….it’s that kind of ‘classic’ type voice, like Thea on RZA’s song….can’t stand it.
Sorry.

Dear The Roots,
You’ve got your own sound, and it is a good sound… so why do suddenly seem like a GCH knockoff? You’ve been bringing the phat beats since those boys were in diapers. I love you and I’m willing to forgive you since you’ve been so good to me, but let’s shape up a bit please, kay thankies.
“Rising Up” is definitely Fire.
