I’ve had enough time to listen to Bloc Party’s Intimacy a bit more, and I’ve decided that the album does have its classic Bloc Party moments. Some of these moments can be found within “Ares” and “Mercury” (yes, when listened to within the album’s context, it isn’t so bad). But the epitome of Intimacy can be found within “Ion Square.” This track showcase intriguing production as well as exemplary songwriting — as far as I can tell. Listen below:

Sounds like a mix of Always New Depths, Sunday, This Modern Love, and Atonement. I LOVE IT!

this is definitely electronic music driven
not controlled just influenced. all in all this album will raise some eyebrows to novice listeners but will raise some arms and blood pulses for the true fans.
i love it and i’m so happy to listen to ANY new Bloc.
