going from a designer stand point – 3 is so simple even a child messing with photoshop could make that in 5 minutes. 1 is looks unfinished/unprofessional. 2, on the other hand, looks absolutely amazing and very well laid out. great job by the artist.

I’m one of the Top 3 (not gonna tell you guys which) but I agree with KMJKMS. I haven’t been voting often for myself, but I’ve been rallying votes from family and friends on facebook, on forums, and on msn, (I’m morally opposed to Twitter, so no rally on there) so hopefully I’m generating some good traffic for PMA. I know I’ve hooked my sister onto the site as well as a few other friends.
Happy that I made the Top 3 though, and it’s great to see some of the supportive comments from everyone.
PMA PLEASE!!! set it up so you can’t vote for your own design 469,268,849,200 times. hear me out- one guy can spend the whole day voting for himself- one guy views your page. OR that one guy has to rally up all the people he knows and even people he doesn’t to go to your site and vote! That way it forces you to bring more traffic to PMA, people that have never even heard of the blog will now visit PMA. thank you for your time.

What’s the font in the header being used at the moment?
Even I attempted an entry but agree with those that say the current one is the best by far.
I like it, if you are going to do a rotation at least keep the current one in.

current header is way better than these. I voted for #4 since it keeps with the theme more. I actually like the old old one with the blue and red blur look.

#3 best fits the blog. the other designs are good. but i think #3 is the one.
3 is the only one that really fits the idea of the blog- it’s about new ideas, MUSIC, being heard! The other designs could be used for anything they don’t show the blogs personality. THREE!

3 4 and 5 all kick ass…uhhh ok well I think 3 4 and 5 are the best, so I want them 2 b the top 3. 3 and 4seem more popular, so ill go with 5. I love the current header, I know its a little much but wanns rotate the top 3 plus current?
I decided that the 3 headers with the most votes will win and split the prize, because the Top 3 are SO CLOSE and SO GOOD, there’s no reason why I can’t just rotate the 3 headers like I used to!

5. Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity.
Eh, 5 is nice, but it kind of resembles a blood stain for me. 3 fits in the best with the site’s style…and as sharp as four is, it’s a tad headache-inducing. They’re all solid though.

current one is better than any of those. i’ve been around some time but still find myself admiring its calm simplicity and effectiveness from time to time. its also got the benefit of not being too elaborate/styled (speaking of indie).
the new ones might look better on first sight because they’re ~new and got more details, but think about it, i bet you’ve seen those styles somewhere already (maybe even years ago) and more detail is definitely going to get boring fast.
i’d vote for the current one.
#3 may be visually interesting, but it’s the same as every other grunge/graffiti/urban style photoshop art that’s out there, which makes up like 5984359348534059 of the blogs on the net.

#4 is the only one that fits with the rest of the site design, but it’s not better than the original PMA header.
Also, the poll doesn’t seem to mind how many times I vote.
My vote is with number 3. It has the most personality!
You know, I actually like the typography for the header you’ve got now. If you tweaked the kerning on it just a bit, it would be perfect. I think it works just right with the rest of the site. Honest.
I voted for #3 which is very interesting. Even though it’s a lot ‘louder’ than the usual PMA-design I think it would perfectly fit in.
The graphics on #3 is amazing.
