Sam Beam, the man behind Iron & Wine, has been living in Texas outside Austin for most of his music career, and in "Waves of Galveston" he addresses living in that state. "It's too bad Texas leans on the least of us all." It's gorgeously bucolic, with Beam's singing and acoustic guitar backed with a mandolin, though it won't be on his forthcoming album. "Caught In The Briars" has a similar sound, and will be the first song off the LP—making us excited to hear what other musical stylings the next album will offer, after the big band jazz sound of "Lover's Revolution."
