Alex Feder used to play in Brooklyn’s the XYZ Affair before he moved to LA in 2010 to start a solo project and decided to reinvent himself as an R&B star. Now he’s crafting sensual pop ballads in the vein of Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke under his nom de pop, Leonard Friend. His first EP, brilliantly titled Lynyrd Frynd, drops January 31; in the meantime we’re psyched to premier “Everything for the Sake of Everything.”
If you’re not quite sold yet, you can check out the tender, acoustic renditions of unreleased tracks Mr. Friend performed with a choir of angel-voiced lady friends over at the fantastic live session website Daytrotter.
