A few days ago, Zola Jesus (a.k.a. Nika Roza Danilova) shared a brief trailer for her forthcoming new album, Taiga. And while that was all fine and dandy, she's now released actual music from the album, which we appreciate even more. Taiga's first single album comes in the form of "Dangerous Days," an inspiring, growing anthem that is nowhere near as dark and foreboding as its predecessors. In a press release, Danilova said that the album represents "a feral, untapped world that could happily exist without us. There are taiga forests in Northern Wisconsin where I was raised, and also in Russia where my ancestors are from, so it also feels very native... For me, it feels like my true debut, because it is the first time I have felt so open and liberated.”
