Blitzen Trapper - "Destroyer of the Void"


Blitzen Trapper are all set to follow up their highly acclaimed 2008 album Furr with the upcoming Destroyer of the Void. While Furr was frequently overlooked by those (like me) who were too hooked on the Fleet Foxes debut, the band certainly made their mark on the blogosphere, consistently landing high on year-end lists. Passion Pit - "Little Secrets" (Felix Da Housecat Remix)


Passion Pit was among the sea of bands releasing exclusive content for Record Store Day last Saturday. The band released a special colored 7" vinyl of 2009's fantastic "Little Secrets". The album version of the track was backed with a remix by none other than Felix Da Housecat. (read more...)

BLK JKS - "Zol!"


BLK JKS are giving away "Zol!", the title track from the band's new EP, due out June 8th on Secretly Canadian. Last year, we criticized BLK JKS for their overtly complex and dense arrangements. We couldn't find the band's identity beneath the rubble of unfiltered and mismanaged sound. Almost a year after their debut album After Robots was released, BLK JKS's "Zol!" comes as a pleasant surprise. (read more...)
