ROSTAM WOOD

The endlessly creative and talented Rostam Batmanglij – producer and multi-intstrumentalist for pop perfectionists Vampire Weekend, and experimental electro-pop duo Discovery – has just shared a solo track called "Wood".

We have no idea if Rostam plans on further exploring what he's presented with "Wood", but we've definitely got our fingers crossed. Like any other Vampire Weekend song, there are a lot of moving parts here. Also like any other Vampire Weekend song, Rostam balances them effortlessly. This isn't exactly like any other Vampire Weekend song though; "Wood" distinguishes itself from the pack by drawing inspiration from Asia instead of Africa / Paul Simon. Listen below:

Recently, Rostam produced a song called "The Trick" on Das Racist's new album. You can listen to that here.
