Though the German electropop quartet Timid Tiger have been around for almost ten years, they haven’t quite managed to make a splash overseas yet – but their irresistible new single sounds like it might turn the tables.
“Back From Hell,” one of the cuts you can sample from their upcoming The Streets Are Black LP, is unrelentingly catchy and effortlessly now, the kind of instantly accessible pop-rock bands like Django Django and 1,2,3 have been bringing to the table lately. We love frontman Keshav Puroshotham’s sexy, fluid vocals and that weird, twangy keyboard line that undulates throughout. You can check out “Miracle,” which is a little more R&B-inflected, and its attendant video too. Both are all too easy to put on repeat. The Streets Are Black drops March 30.
