If you haven't noticed, I've been slacking around here for almost a week now. Let's just say I was gone — but I'm back now and I'm going to make it all up to you. Here I will post some of the more interesting new tracks that have surfaced while I was gone. Read on if you're interested in any of these tracks:

Mickey Factz - Flying Balloon
3OH!3 - Don't Trust Me (ft. Kid Cudi) (Benny Blanco Remix)
The Fiery Furnaces - Charmaine Champagne
The Very Best - Warm Heart of Africa (feat. Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend)

Mickey Factz - Flying Balloon
Mickey Factz is hooking up with NahRight and super-producer Cookin' Soul to release 1:00 A.M. and Rising. On this mixtape is where you will find "Flying Balloon." I'm relatively new to Mickey Factz, but the little that I have heard has been downright fantastic. And no one else would make me like Supras again.

Read on to page 2 for Kid Cudi on 3OH!3's latest scorching hit. Courtesy of the amazing Benny Blanco.

3OH!3 - Don't Trust Me (ft. Kid Cudi) (Benny Blanco Remix)
"Don't Trust Me" is 3OH!3's insanely catchy and insanely popular single that will certainly launch them into One-Hit-Wonder status. The man who brought us Spank Rock and Mos Def over Justice's "D.A.N.C.E.", Benny Blanco, is now bringing babyfaced buzz-rapper Kid Cudi into the mix. Despite an awkward introduction, this remix is actually pretty good. It may be that the remix focuses on the song's hook (one of the best ones I've heard all year). Or it may just be Kid Cudi's presence on the track. I give him a hard time, sure, but he does real good on this song. Saw it at Pigeons and Planes.

The Fiery Furnaces - Charmaine Champagne
"Charmaine Champagne" is a sweet little tune from the Fiery Frunaces' upcoming eighth studio LP, I'm Going Away. This song, in a long line of great summer songs for 2009. "Psychic City" "Sunlight" and "Dream City" welcome you.

Read onto the next page to listen to Ezra from Vampire Weekend on The Very Best's newest.

The Very Best - Warm Heart of Africa (feat. Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend)

Speaking of summer music, The Very Best's music is summer personified. Last year'sThe Very Best mixtape was welcomed with critical acclaim that followed them to this year's SXSW. I heard they murdered it. Now, GorillavsBear reports that Esau Mwamwaya & Radioclit will be releasing their debut full-length album, Warm Heart of Africa, very soon.

The album's titular track, featuring Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend is now available for your listening pleasure. Not unlike their mixtape, "Warm Heart of Africa" sounds just like you think it would: cheerful, uplifting, and even inspiring. Listen to it below.
