The on-the-rise Brooklyn indie pop troupe Ghost Beach are going out on tour with Chad Valley soon, and everyone’s celebrating with this great remix of Ghost Beach’s “Tear Us Apart” that we’re psyched to premiere. The original is a sunny, ethereal jam with a massive drum machine beat and swarming synth sounds backing up idiosyncratic vocals; Chad Valley adds a little of his personal tropical-tinged weirdness on top, swapping the band’s guitar line for syncopated beats and sparkling arpeggiations. We love that he keeps those great vocals intact. Check it out – and check out both acts on tour in April.

Ghost Beach’s upcoming Modern Tongues Remix EP will feature this remix, as well as remixes from Penguin Prison, Gigamesh, Summer Heart and Shook.
