We have been falling ever deeper in love with the punkish, power pop sounds of Francisco The Man since we encountered “In the Corners,” and thusly we’re very excited to be premiering their single. With “Taking Punches,” the Los Angeles four piece walk us into a beautiful, shoegazey landscape. It reminds us of My Bloody Valentine, of course, but they take the Loveless aesthetic and filter it through their own experience, giving it new life and fresh relevance.

All genre and influence banter aside, we can’t stop playing this track. It’s a part of the In The Corners 7″, which is due out this spring on Small Plate Records.
