The Song of the Summer—it’s a sacred and revered made-up accolade that’s given out by disc jockeys and music writers every year. The front-runners this year, refreshingly almost always Top-40-dominated, include Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen”, Nicki Minaj’s “The Night is Still  Young”, Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again”, and a very annoying song called “Shut Up and Dance” by Walk the Moon. Other hits by Carly Rae Jepsen, Maroon 5, and Jason Derulo have also thrown their hats in the ring.
