CONTEST: ALESSI KAJ WATCH giveaways feature

CLOSED: Congratulations Jackie Q [#293] — check your email gurl!

Before we get into this, a quick note — This week, I (Luis) haven’t been posting as much as I would like to. I have been having to deal with a few issues and will be even more busy this weekend. Thankfully I have Adam now to pick up the slack somewhat. Everything should be back to normal on Monday afternoon Tuesday-ish! I will try to post today (Thursday) and Friday if I can, but I’m not promising anything. Anyway, thank you for sticking it out and not forgetting me! CONTEST: ALESSI KAJ WATCH giveaways feature Onto the giveaway…

It’s been a while since PMA’s had a giveaway, here’s to changing that. PMA is giving away this pretty cool Alessi watch from their Kaj collection. Here’s a product description: Designed by Karim Rashid for Alessi, the Kaj collection of watches has the sleek, pared down look of many of his designs. In Rashid’s words, the collection is symbolic of technology, the cosmos, and the passage and cyclical nature of time. In layman’s terms, they’re just very attractive watches. We are giving away a watch in either black, pink, orange, red, green, blue or lilac.

To enter, all you have to do is:
1. Fill out the name/email address fields in the comment form
2. Leave a comment telling me about your weekend plans — no matter how boring it is. Or, what you already did this weekend.
3. At the end of your comment put either [yes] or [no] to answer this question — if we gave away cool prizes like this (i.e. cool cameras, vinyl, USB turn tables, etc) on every issue of a hypothetical PMA newsletter — and if it were only open to subscribers — would you sign up for it?
A random comment will be selected on Monday 2.23.09 at 6PM pacific time. Make sure you follow the rules, or I will skip your entry, even if you were chosen!

Ed. Note: Are you interested in writing about music? We'd love to hear from you! Email us with samples and a short bio.

In a tired and true, typical fashion, my weekend plans involve me getting together with a bunch of friends, finding an excuse to buy rum, vodka, mixers, and oddball objects, and dancing the weekend away. Wow, run-on sentence, much, right there? …And there too. I’ve also got a handful of birthday parties to attend, so I’ll be heading to the neat second-hand stores downtown to find some nifty, cool things to give away and provide some laughs. Other than that, I’ll be laying around, watching sucky morning/afternoon television with friends, eating junk food, and tending to yet another hangover from hell.

Oh, and before I forget: FUCK [YES]!

This weekend I will be working and then just relaxing. Last weekend was pretty hectic, I attended Hott Date at The Rainbow (which is a pretty bad ass party, they’re famed for their all day parties in the summer).
I got very drunk and danced my ass of to a rather eclectic mix of music and everybody went crazy for the AC Slater & Skeet Skeet remix of Meddle by Little Boots.
I took a lot of drunken pictures too.

My weekend plans include, packing up my entire room and moving out of home for the first time ever. Leaving for the ‘Big Wide World’ slash ‘City’ from my Suburban hood. With opportunities/not many because I will be starting Art History major. And on Sunday making my new flat just like home by hanging obscene tryhard-cobrasnake-like photos in a zany fashion to look cool for people frequenting the flat. While also having my Mother there to teach me how to cook. Because out all the years living at home, I decided to never to learn how to cook. Who needs to when you have subway/McDs around every corner. Turns out, me.
