CONTEST: ALESSI KAJ WATCH feature

CLOSED: Congratulations Jackie Q [#293] — check your email gurl!

Before we get into this, a quick note — This week, I (Luis) haven’t been posting as much as I would like to. I have been having to deal with a few issues and will be even more busy this weekend. Thankfully I have Adam now to pick up the slack somewhat. Everything should be back to normal on Monday afternoon Tuesday-ish! I will try to post today (Thursday) and Friday if I can, but I’m not promising anything. Anyway, thank you for sticking it out and not forgetting me! :) Onto the giveaway…

It’s been a while since PMA’s had a giveaway, here’s to changing that. PMA is giving away this pretty cool Alessi watch from their Kaj collection. Here’s a product description: Designed by Karim Rashid for Alessi, the Kaj collection of watches has the sleek, pared down look of many of his designs. In Rashid’s words, the collection is symbolic of technology, the cosmos, and the passage and cyclical nature of time. In layman’s terms, they’re just very attractive watches. We are giving away a watch in either black, pink, orange, red, green, blue or lilac.

To enter, all you have to do is:
1. Fill out the name/email address fields in the comment form
2. Leave a comment telling me about your weekend plans — no matter how boring it is. Or, what you already did this weekend.
3. At the end of your comment put either [yes] or [no] to answer this question — if we gave away cool prizes like this (i.e. cool cameras, vinyl, USB turn tables, etc) on every issue of a hypothetical PMA newsletter — and if it were only open to subscribers — would you sign up for it?
A random comment will be selected on Monday 2.23.09 at 6PM pacific time. Make sure you follow the rules, or I will skip your entry, even if you were chosen!

  1. this upcoming weekend, i’m going to keep studying for school! LOL. exciting, i know. and as for newsletter, yeah i would subscribe.

  2. every weekend starts off the same: with a friday morning to do list. all the things i can’t wait to do this weekend. perhaps a long walk in the park? maybe visiting with friends? laundry, errands, a movie, cleaning, grocery shopping – all those things make the list. and then… i find myself exhausted from a full day of friday work and in need of a quick drink. next thing i know, i’m wasted and crawling into my bed at 4am. when i surface on saturday, it’s egg sandwiches and true life marathons. and by saturday night, i’m reenergized… and drunk again. sunday morning, it’s once again recovery time… this time with degrassi and 90210 marathons. sunday night i’m finally ready to get some work done. what up 24-hour laundromat!

    it’s a viscous cycle.

and yes. i’d totally subscribing to a newsletter. but only for the giveaways. google reader keeps me up to date with the posts.

My weekend will consist of much sleeping, followed by sleepily listening to Coldplay and The Killers to prepare for when I will see them in one month. I will also be attending a birthday party.

If by weekend, you are mean beginning on Saturday, then I have to go to VASE, an art competition, early in the morning for the one piece I am entering, afterwards, I have to find something to do for a couple hours before heading into work at PacSun at 5. Depending on how nice the night is to me will factor in whether I will be stopping by a friend’s house for a party featuring the predominant guest of alcohol, but I have to remember to wake up early to go to church with my family in the morning. After that, the rest is up to the wind and how it blows.

    [yes]

Weekend plans are not looking to great right now =/ Might go see Friday the 13th saturday night, but unless nothing pops up for tomorrow night I might just sit at home and play the GTAIV expansion pack, which, now that I type it, doesn’t sound that bad.

  15. Brian

Cramming for an online stats midterm, doing too many papers and projects, and giving the gift of Tokyo Jihen singles to a good friend for their birthday sounds about right.

  16. I am fleeing to Solana Beach Friday night where we are cooking a Southern feast with the cook books that former Miss America of 1959, Mary Ann Mobely, gave me. Then on Saturday during the day we are going to this place that you can pay to throw plates at a wall and break stuff. Then on Sunday I’m driving back to L.A. in the morning to bike ride with my friend Danielle to get breakfast at Grub and then I don’t know what I’m doing during the day. Probably going to a park and reading the boring analytical essays in the back of my Huck Finn book for school because every time I go to read it at home I obviously find ways to distract myself. Like commenting on this.

    Yes.
