I would make it a Jean-Pierre Melville movie marathon. He is the most underrated filmmaker of all time. Without him there is no Tarantino.

Mick March 7, 2009 at 12:51 pm

I’d watch Fight Club, simply because it is my all-time-favourite movie and I would want my first use of the machine to be great. Then I’d probably lock myself in a room with a bunch of dvd’s, a flatscreen, a dvd-player, a comfortable chair, some drinks and my popcorn maker and not come out for a very long time.

I’d watch a marathon of TV on DVD, only the good stuff of course. That, or a showing of Little Miss Sunshine. Great film – and you can’t beat having Sufjan on the soundtrack.

I’m a big big fan of musicals so I would watch my favorite musical of all time: The Wiz. It has everything: awesome singing, amazing choreography, and Michael Jackson when he was black. What more could you ask for?

The Wiz or my other favorite movie, The Godfather, Part II. Yes, I know my cinematic tastes make no sense.

So there’s defininely been some great suggestions already; props to the guy that suggested toy story, but with a brand new pop corn machine I might need to watch a truly epic movie; but not Epic Movie. At this point I’m against anything extremely new, not because it’s new but because every one knows about it right now. If I won, I’d have to go with Reservoir Dogs, followed up with Sin City, if only to see Michael Madsen’s progression between the two movies. Not to mention both movies were absolutely great.
