5 Reasons Why the Killers Human Music Video Doesnt Suck mp3Remember when Killers’ music videos weren’t utterly underwhelming? I miss the thematic tie-ins and cultural references “Mr. Brightside” and “When You Were Young” had. And what about that homoerotic scene when that weird guy in that green fish suit goes to bed with one of the Killers, like in “Read My Mind”?

I’m a devout Killers fan, but this just won’t do. I’m sure this video will be considered a classic in 20 years (around the same time people will start appreciating Sam’s Town) — but until then, it’s just Brendon Flowers singing into a boring ole mic, right?

Maybe I’m having some sort of love affair with lists, but I’ve come up with 5 Reasons why the Killers’ new music video for “Human” doesn’t suck. The complete list and the music video along with some mp3s after the jumpYouTube Preview Image

5 Reasons Why the Killers’ Human Music Video Doesn’t Suck

  1. The Song: “Human” is a marvelous song. It’s lyrically and musically potent and it’s damn catchy. I wouldn’t turn away from the video just to listen to the song.
  2. Brandon Flowers’ Moustache: It’s gone! Thank God, too! Brandon Flowers’ oddly endearing but somewhat infuriating mustache is gone — hopefully for good. I guess this sort of implies that Brandon’s pretty boy image is coming back from this not-so-manly album?
  3. The Animals: A tiger? A puma? Vultures? My guess is that they’re trying to avenge the death of the countless bunnies that died in the making of Brandon Flowers’ jacket.
  4. The Jacket: Brandon Flowers may have helped usher in the whole guy-liner movement — though Pete Wentz does take most of the credit — but BFlo helped, nonetheless. In more recent times, he’s really spurred on a big Freddie Mercury moustache revival. Now? I think he’s trying to make the whole Dolce & Gabbana, furry hooded jacket thing look cool.
  5. Brandon Flowers: He makes the Killers and he makes this video. Without BFlo’s anti-charisma and convulsive performance, it just wouldn’t feel like a Killers video.

“and i’m on my knees looking for the ANSWER
are we human or are we DANCER”

music is exactly like poetry.

“The puppet versus human contrast is throughout. To be human is to have life and choice. To be dancer is to be controlled by strings or “cords”"

Not my own words, but that sums up how I and this other person feels :p

The only lyric I have a problem with in the song is “Are we human, or are we dancer? (Denser maybe?)” does that make sense to anyone? As for the rest of it, pretty beautiful lyrics.

is it just me or does this sortof, minus the animals, remind anyone of Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii? i mean i know they aren’t at pompeii but all of the big lights, amps and the giant gong? i’d say they were influenced.. great video though.

Great list, that’s exactly how I feel about Flowers, it’d be so easy to hate him, so I just luv him, whatever that means! Also his guy-liner was THE guy-liner, you see he’s really pretty…

Nah, I just saw the video, I lied I could never hate him, he’s too pretty, and unintentionally funny…

Please tell me this is all some kind of sick inside joke…. the Killers should lose there record deal for putting out crap like this. I haven’t heard a more mediocre (read: eurotrash techno coke jam) single in a long time. This is so bad it reminds me of Limp Bizkit’s big double single release of Rollin’ and My Generation. I have money the Killers will cease to be relevant after this record.

Those lyrics blow. But the song sounds good regardless.

il give u the answer; you are a human who has the ability to learn to dance, therefore you could be a human who can dance, but you are not. end of. neither can you sing very well either. . if only you could ‘read my mind’ and other thousands of people who have to be subjected to this garbage on their radios in the morning, then you would crawl into a hole and never come out. I think you are the worst band of this decade.
