I have to disagree on teh Amy Whinehouse comparison. Maybe they are in the same genre but to me sound nothing alike.

I HYPED Duffy on EverHYPE and scored it 96%, which I think is very accurate.

She’s aight. But there’s something not that atmospher-ee about her that I’ll always first go to Dusty, Nina or Billie. I don’t really think she’s similar to Amy’s music, lyrics or image. Oh and the one who felt important to say so, Sorry for not reading the entire 4500 d*ckriding posts shoutbox. I just read the one that’s now under mine. I hope you’re not really, really mad.

it’s obvious that amy’s and duffy’s music is pretty similar and this avantgarde pop thing (or whatever you call) is getting popular thanks to them. but the fact is amy started this “fashion” again by herself and i agree that duffy’s success is also a bit of amy’s success. oh and btw i like them both, i felt i should clear that out before getting some hateful comments on my shoutbox.

Duffy is not copying Amy Winehouse! I don’t understand why they compare them. Its like calling Britney a Madonna copycat. They are their own artists with distinct styles.
