“The Spell” is the first song that I have heard from Alphabeat and I am absolutely in love with this Danish group. I missed their first album, but that might be a good thing since the band says they have moved to a new sound.
This new sound is a shockingly successful combination of 1990’s dance vocals and keyboards combined with the layers of synth that this decade throws into every indie pop song. Alphabeat are releasing their second, four song, studio album in early November. The energy from “The Spell” should keep you excited about this band for the next month.
