This week on American Idol there was a mentor by the name of Dolly Parton. I don’t study her, but I like some of her music. The contestants were supposed to sing songs by her, which most did perfectly. Brooke White opened up the show with “Jolene“, which felt quite rushed. David Cook and Ramiele Malubay then were next, and they were pretty good (David got a haircut!) Jason Castro and Carly Smithson were next, which they sang perfectly. It was a perfect song choice for both of them. David Archuleta and his cuteness sang well on stage, while Kristy Lee Cook’s performance was forgettable. Syesha Mercado was second-to-last, and she sang I Will Always Love You. It was okay compared to everyone else, but it was her best so far. Michael Johns then closed the show, which he did perfectly, it was the best of the night.

Who did the best? Michael Johns. Worst? KRISTY LEE COOK. Vote for your favorite with this number: 1-866-IDOLS-0# (numbers are below)
