One of the best things about music blogs is (re)discovering old, random gems, that link two of your favorite bands in the world together. It happens more often than you imagine. This time, I owe buckets of gratitude to We All Want Someone To Shout For for bringing Arcade Fire’s cover of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ “Maps” back in my life.

There was a time when this cover was a fixture in my daily playlists, but between new laptops and iTunes library transfers, it was somehow lost and I forgot all about it. I wanted to take the opportunity to share it, just in case your mp3 mysteriously flew off your hard drive as well. Or maybe you didn’t know this cover existed? Well now you do.

When did this happen?

Thank you for sharing it even though it’s so old (apparently).

Maps is literally my favorite song of the last 5 years. They cover it so well. Their voices go with it perfectly!
