Progressive bad ass punk rockers, Atlanta’s infamous collective Black Lips, are prepping their legions of fans for their forthcoming sixth full length, Arabia Mountain (that’s the very fitting album art above). The record happens to be co-produced by British pop/r&b aficionado Mark Ronson, who has worked with such artists as Q-Tip, Amy Winehouse and Spank Rock. No joke.
The band is giving away second single from the LP, “Modern Art,” for free. Running just barely over two minutes, it’s straight up Black Lips, with rapid bass riffs, swivelling guitar melodies and lead by frontman Cole Alexander’s raspy vocals. Download the track below; Arabia Mountain comes out June 7th via Vice Records.
