It may finally be time to grab your harmonicas and cue up your banjo’s, because Portland’s folk-rock band, Blitzen Trapper, are back with a new single and album called “American Goldwing”.
The track was inspired and explores “that fine line between the rural and the suburban settings that define much of America”, so they claim. But oddly enough, this makes perfect sense once you listen to the song.
The good ole boys of Blitzen Trapper have been making great, underrated music for over a decade and will drop their fifth studio album (like we said, also titled American Goldwing) this fall via Seattle’s all powerful Sub Pop. Even if this is not your usual cup of tea, it’s worth a peep, for America’s sake.
