Bloc Party Call The Shots (Girls Aloud cover) music mp3 covers

Bloc Party stopped by BBC’s Radio 1 to drop their new single (“One Month Off”) and covered Girl Aloud’s “Call The Shots” while they were at it.  This isn’t the first time Bloc Party cover a guilty pop pleasure of theirs. In 2007 they covered Nelly Furtado’s wonderful “Say It Right.”

I love it when bands go out of their comfort zones and cover something entirely different. The cover doesn’t even have to be good, just different and passionate. Bloc Party always deliver with their unusually fitting covers. [display_podcast]

These both sound like pretty terrible remixes to me XD

Love the girls aloud cover – it was amazing in Manchester last week! Imagine dropping a Girls Aloud track in one of your sets to thousands of fans? Brave!

they’re not remixes. theyre covers. and the nelly furtado cover is in my opinion a lot better. of course thats partially bc that song is just so catchy to begin with. both couldve benefitted from better sound quality, but im a pretty diehard bloc party fan so i cop NEARLY everything they put out. good looks with the post

Hmmphmmpha… Not feeling the ‘Call the Shots’ cover much (at all). That may be because I love the original so much though. Always did like that ‘Say it Right’ cover though.
