the live version you have, i agree doesnt sound well. but that’s because of the horrible recording. listening to the live version from their new york show, it sounds much better. there’s a perfect balance of their old style and this new song.
i personal liked how it was performed on conan live more than the studio release. it had a real low-fi sound to it and was just cool.

anyway.. i actually think this song LIVE is the best, atleast it was at MSG..
i even prefer the Live Conan version.. the ‘original’ although still great.. just sounds kind of epileptic…
