The title track is achingly beautiful, still trying to figure out how he fits so much emotion into such a sparse sound. Beach baby reminds more of the FEFO sound, perhaps it’s just his vocals, but that wonderful slide guitar is a nice addition. Babys reminds me an awful lot of PJ Harvey’s last record White Chalk, indeed the two albums both have a lot in common in terms of songwriting. And as you so rightly said, the vocoder effects on woods are a treat.

Hmm … I wasnt really impressed w/ the EP when I first listened to it, but your review makes me want to give it a few more tries and see if I’ll warm up to it.

Thanks Topher;”Beach Baby” is also a great song. In fact, they’re all great, that’s why I gave it nine out of ten. I just can’t wait for the next album!
