My podpress plug-in is being difficult — it won’t let me update the audio on the previous “Womanizer” post. So, here’s a completely seperate post, just for the tagless, CD quality version of Britney’s latest single. The single is still being welcomed by mixed reviews from fans and industry leaders alike. After a couple dozen listens, I still think it’s one of her greatest first-singles ever — only topped by “Slave 4 U” for her Britney album in 2001. Anyway, here’s the updated “Womanizer”:[display_podcast]

OMG!! It’s AMAZING!!!!
BRITNEY IS BACK !
Crap. I hate that I kinda REALLY like this song.
For some reason makes me think of Rhianna’s SOS… and it could easily have been sung by the Pussycat Dolls.
Britney is the best forever….!!!!!!
i love it and it continues to grow on me. i can’t wait to hear the track produced by danja when circus comes out (loved ‘gimme more’). I wonder, why are they debuting this in september when the album’s not due out for another 3 (three!) months?
Huh. She sounds GOOD.
And it’s catchy, catchy, catchy…
It sounds nothing like her voice but it’s kinda like everything she does, catchy and dancy, not bad…
it definitely sounds like her. no one else in the industry has that bubbly baby voice and her lazy diction. i’m really impressed with how she pronounces every word – they didn’t have to completely digitize her vocals like last time because there’s not much to hide (relatively speaking).
the electrobeats definitely continue in the exact direction Blackout was taking us, but i think the sound has gotten even harder and grittier. what was an experiment before is becoming a new identity – she owns this genre rather than simply being dropped into the middle of it. it guess doesn’t hurt that she seems to have regained control of her personal life either.
i’m just a little disappointed with the laziness in adding new colors to Blackout’s palette. The crisp backbeats and space-synth sounds are a little familiar from the previous album (think: “Ooh Ooh Baby” and “Radar”). but i guess if those are the tools of this trade, they’re bound to show up again.
i’m hoping for something as amazingly original as “Toy Soldier”, something i’ve never heard before but immediately defines her new sound. keep your fingers crossed that Brit & her production team come through for real!!
I can’t stop listening to this song. If it’s not playing on my iTunes, it’s playing in my head.
are you guys kidding me? Ya the beats decently catchy but the lyrics are written by a 9 yr old. Definately nothing ground-breaking. She’s a has-been. Sorry to break your hearts.
Hi, where is the download link?
