Little is known about the buzzed-about rapper Captain Murphy, and he evidently wants to keep it that way – on his latest single “The Killing Joke,” recorded and produced over this past weekend with Flying Lotus, Murphy even sounds far away and unrecognizable, mixed lower than an excellent, hauntingly creepy beat and vocal samples from The Dark Knight. When you can hear him though, he sounds almost like DOOM via Tyler, the Creator, dropping smart, segmented verses about labels pestering him to drop his anonymity. Download the MP3 here.
