We’re super enamored of the Canadian label Paper Bag’s yearly tradition of gathering all their artists together to cover a classic album – last year they took on Madonna’s True Blue, and this year David Bowie’s The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars gets the cover treatment from artists as diverse as Born Ruffians and Yamantaka//Sonic Titan. Here’s “Soul Love” as interpreted by the Montreal producer CFCF and Austra’s Katie Stelmanis - an appropriately chilly, intergalactic jam. We’re loving how otherworldly Katie sounds over that sweeping CFCF beat. Check it out – or download the whole release now.
