5. Radiohead’s New Single “Nude” – Remix contest? Video contest?

March 31st “Nude” will be released as Radiohead’s official new single in support of their In Rainbows album. “Nude” is definitely one of the stronger tracks on the album and whats more exciting is that there has been talk of a remix contest, limited details at this point, expect more press soon. “And speaking of contests, the Radioheadz have another, separate one for all the aspiring animators out there. Radiohead’s U.S. label TBD, Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, and cartoon networking site aniBoom are inviting folks to submit storyboards for a music video for an In Rainbows track of their choosing. Ten finalists will be selected and given $1,000 to produce a one-minute clip, and the party responsible for the best of these gets $10,000 and the chance to make their Radiohead video, which Adult Swim will premiere. 6. Harry Potter Times Two

It seems as though the final Harry Potter movie: The Deathly Hallows will actually be split into 2 movie. That’s some good ol’ Hollywood magic alright.

“We feel that the best way to do the book, and its many fans, justice is to expand the screen adaptation of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ and release the film in two parts,” Jeff Robinov, president of Warner Bros. Pictures Group, said in a statement.

Right, its also a bonus that the first five films have a world wide box office gross of $4.5 Billion. Adding an extra movie means almost another billion dollars of box office gold. Hell, this isn’t even counting the 100s of millions made from DVD sales. They should have started doing this with The Goblet of Fire — isn’t that when the “fans” started bitching about the amount of stuff left off in the movie that were in the book? I mean the thing is 700+ pages. You can easily make that into two movies.

Yay more money for J.K. Rowling.
