Dan Black Yours (Blaqstarr Remix)/Junk Food/Karate Kid/Alone stream remixes music mp3

Despite Dan Black being one of the original 9 or 10 artists I told you all to watch in 2009, he has sort of fallen off my radar, to no fault of his own. I’ve been consumed by other new artists as well as new releases by some of my all-time favorites (YYYs, Phoenix, Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear). I did a quick GMail search a few minutes ago and I managed to squeeze out four Dan Black mp3s that I have not heard yet slash didn’t know existed. Color me scatterbrain.

These four new songs, coupled with the songs already in my iPod, Dan Black has proven to be a powerful force in motion, and it doesn’t look like it will stop until his debut album finally drops –supposedly in June. Catch the new tunes after the jump.

Like I said, Dan Black’s been off my radar for a while. Accidentally, of course! I actually like his music.

Thanks, haven’t heard a couple of these. I don’t think I’ve heard anything from Dan that I don’t like. Might have to gank a couple of these from you.

Hey James, I think Passion Pit actually remixed symphonies by Dan

I didn’t know Blaqstarr could remix like this. It definitely has his B-more influences, but it’s straight mellow. I’m pleasantly surprised.

Blaqstarr remix is awesome, remix managed to outshine already great song.

Junk Food and Karate kid are also great, but Alone just doesn’t do it for me, but hey can’t win them all :D
