Lets revive that old David vs David showdown we were all into last May.
American Idol runner-up, David Archuleta, visited New York’s z100 to premier his fantastic first single “Crush”, does this mean his album will be released before David Cook’s? Well given that Idol/Jive is letting him promote it already seems to indicate that he will.
While David Archuleta is releasing what can definitely be this fall’s biggest hit, Cook is ready at work with songwriters from Collective Soul and Our Lady Peace to beef up his inaugural album. Judging by Cook’s semi-omnipresent Idol single “The Time of You Life” and by listening to Archie’s “Crush”, it looks like Hot Adult Contemporary charts are going to be Idoltastic again! David Cook shouldn’t be afraid of Archie because Cook had proven his mass appeal a week after an idol by having a million sold 16 songs in itunes and Cook is really humble. Goodluck to both of them.

The Davids play totally different styles of music – so, yes, they have different audiences.
I like David Archuleta, but I hate this song – in fact I hate this style of music.
I like all genres of rock music, adult contemporary, cross-over country and almost anything except whatever style “Crush” is. Is it the same genre as Chris Brown and Leona Lewis and Jordin? I hate their music, too.
If DA puts some inspirational ballads on his CD, I might like it.
Even though I don’t like the style of music, I do like Archie and I am wishing him success.
David sounds great singing anything but this is a boy-band song, and I thought he wanted to emmulate John Mayer and Sara Barrilas. This song sounds nothing like their music. I don’t get it.
TW: It’s all about exposure and making the record label money right now. David is 17, not 27. If his debut song had been in the John Mayer realm, his fans would have loved it, but he wouldn’t have expanded that fanbase and it would have been much harder for him to have his other music accepted. Personally, I love Crush because I have always liked the Boy-band sound with it’s harmonies. However, I look forward to hearing David do other kinds of music that will really showcase his amazing vocals. As an older fan, I loved the songs he did on AI because they did just that.

Please, take down the download. Let’s buy the single. I understand your trying to help, but people really should be buying the single only. By providing an illegal download you’re taking away from David and his label.
Fans should buy the single on August 12th, using iTunes or Amazon or both! It’s only .99 cents. We spend more money buying a pack of gum, I don’t think it’ll hurt you to buy a song. :]
David deserves to be number one on the music charts. Not only because he is amazingly talented, but also because he has shown the world he’s a beautiful human being.

hi everyone i don t understand the david archuleta haters out there,if you dont like his music thats one thing but to not like him is another. Hes such a wonderful person,with great qualities,kind,very modest sincere,loves his fans..loves people that s not his fans. some advice if you meet him and talk to him then come up with a reason why you would nt like him? People that say negatives things about him must be very jealous…love to hear people feedback of reasons why you would not like david archuleta..thank you lara
People! Grow up!! If you don’t like David Archuleta why are you on a website about him?? I’m an Archuleta supporter so I’m never on a Cook fansite and if I was I sure wouldn’t leave nasty comments! Some of you obviously need to get a life! Cook and Archuleta are 2 different artist with different styles, you can’t possibly compare the 2! Give me a break! I’m not into the whole “rock” scene but I’m not denying Cook’s talent! He’s got it! Either or by the grace of God may both of these guy rock our worlds!
