Discovery Carby (ft. Ezra Koeing of Vampire Weekend) stream music mp3

I didn’t ever think I’d hear Vampire Weekend auto-tuned out. Especially since auto-tune died and everything… Alas, auto-tune is very much alive, no, it’s actually thriving in Discovery’s debut LP, called, well LP.

The exciting project features a member of Vampire Weekend (Rostam Batmanglij) and a Ra Ra Riot frontman (Wes Miles) making some nice electro music. In one song, “Carby,” 50% of Vampire Weekend are present when VW vocalist Ezra Koeing joins Miles and Batmanglij in the making of the most danceable Vampire Weekend song you’ll ever hear.

Give “Carby” a listen here.

NICE! Have you heard the song with Angel from the Dirty Projectors? I saw it at Hype Machine. Figured you’d like it, since you gave DP a 91 yesterday.

I actually like this. It took a few listens, but I like it. It’s really pushing the boundaries. Like Luis said… I never thought I’d hear VW in auto-tune. It’s a pleasant surprise.

It’s a perfect summer song, totally danceble to. It’s not a megahit, but will serve its purpose for the next couple of months. Auto-tune is dead to rappers only, others can use it as they wish :D
