“Jesus”, another tune from Dom’s forthcoming 10″ Sun Bronzed Greek Gods is a song about being completely aware of your temporal, fleeting desires, as Fluxblog points out. Dom’s desires, which include having something to believe in and parties in nondescript basements, aren’t vastly different from the wishes and desires presented, so managerially, in Girls’ “Lust For Life”.
This is just what we need as the summer months come a-knockin’ — a reminder that our 20′s are defined by the guise of wanting something substantial and real, only to be distracted by that pretty girl, any amount of alcohol and unabashedly hip basement party.
