We love Tampa rapper Dominique Young Unique – her sharp, witty, lightning-fast flow has her poised to make a big impact, and her new mixtape Glamorous Touch might have what it takes to get her noticed in a big way. It’s packed with great songs (my favorite is “Do My Own Thing,” which takes as many cues from Dominique excellent stint with the Go! Team as it does from Big Freedia), Justin Bieber samples, autotuned singing – basically everything you could ever possibly want from a hip-hop record.
Dominique is young, and self-assured, and quite talented, and Glamorous Touch is really only the beginning for her. Give it a listen or ten, add half the tracks to your party playlist, and sit back while she takes over the world.
