[rating:6/100]
If you wanted a more serious, less Weird Al Eminem, you have him here on “3AM,” the latest track to leak from Relapse. The song is lead by a melodramatic Dr. Dre production (or a convincing wannabe), that would be great if Eminem’s melodramatic(er) lyrics didn’t drive this song straight into the ground. The song’s theatrics run so deep it brings Kanye and Lil Wayne’s terrible collaboration in “See You In My Nightmares” to mind. But then Em starts talking about tugging off to Hannah Montana and making a mess of the walls and murdering his family. Oh, and he manages to include Kim Kardashian’s ass in this song again.

Even though it takes a more dramatic angle, “3AM” is a huge piece of garbage that will be deleted as soon as I’m done writing this. Worst song of 2009.

damn..he fell of real bad. if anyone wants to listen to some classic eminem joints, i would highly recommend his first album, ‘INFINITE’. that cd still holds its own.

*Nightmares – I quite liked that song. I’ll agree on the melodramatic lyrics though.

Really not a fan of Eminem’s song. I didn’t like Crack A Bottle either though but I thought We Made You was ok. Still he can do much better. I don’t think its the worst song of 09, probably the most disappointing though.

LMAO for some reason on my itunes its tagged as KNIGHTMARES. i just figured Kanye was doing some weird, nonsensical play on words.

thank you – this is BY FAR the worst eminem song I’ve heard. to be fair, the last three or four to be leaked have been god awful. can someone please make him listen to his first two albums? hell, like dude said before, infinite sounds head and shoulders more mature than this garbage.

lol.. it was tagged in my ipod as “knightmares” too.. but i rather liked the song.. but 3AM was a straight to recycle bin track.. totally disappointed.

eminem is the best rapper period and end of discussion. You cant even understand the perspective he was rapping from. Your one of those who have to listen to simple rappers with no lyrical talent. Your garbage. He rode out, and on a sick beat

Have anyone here ever herd the slim shady lp. I guess not by the garbage spilling out of your sucker

You don’t like my song? 3rd verse was about you. Except in your version, before i drown yo ass in the tub I superglue headphones in your ears playing Ja Rule on repeat. Fuck yourself.

u guys are trippin eminem has no bounderies whatever he does is him every one of em’s albums has been different from the last he does something new on every album i think the songs are great its typical em “we made you” hes taking shots at people and “3am” is a murder song its all original em accept for this stupid voice h’s using but besides that its good

Your dumb if you think that he has done something different on every album. He has done the exact same thing on every album. Some goofy songs, some angry songs, some songs about his ex-wife, some songs about his daughter, and some songs making fun of celebrities (Which i don’t understand why he still does, it’s just annoying) And now, hes’s doing it all with this terrible faux-arabic or whatever accent. I just don’t see the appeal. I’d rather listen to Asher Roth.

I hated it the 1st time I heard it mainly cause of his voice but after listening 2 it 5-6 times… wow! One of his best lyrics are crazy and dope beat! Kinda a dark purple pills feel? I even don’t mind that voice anymore…its dif then that we made u one I don’t like.

Lyrically amazing as all ways with plenty of Em’s signature alliteration. However entertainment wise I was bored the first 1:30 into it and had to force myself to listen in order to get a true feel for the song. Unfortunately not only did the song not redeem itself it has to be one of the worse songs he’s ever made. Lyrics poking fun of celebs and murder is great and all but not when the end product sounds as forced as this.

his lyrics are fire in this song, the rhyme scheme and word twisitng is incedible its poetry. everyones so wound-up these days over mainstream garbage that is put out by Lil Wayne and Others. That NaS, Eminem and others who are actual lyracists cant stretch that realm? sweet double standard. Carter III outsold Untitled, when track for track Untitled was better. It’s A Shame that real poetic rap is being thrown to the back burner

My last comment, i apologize, You Aint Got Nuthin On Me was a fire track because i actually heard the Lil Wayne i used to hear, the one that was great. The underground/ Carter II rapper. He still does it from time to time, i wish he would just recall his rock album. I dont wanna make it sound like i hate Lil Wayne. I just dont like where he took his career for the sake of making money.

this song took me a few listen’s to understand the brilliance of the lyrics in it. the way he changes his flow without u knowing he did until the 3rd time he does it. he is very good wit wordplay and this song has alot if imagery and i can see exactly wat he is saying. this is a very rare talent, to b able to bring the song to life without anything but words (even though the music video comes out a few days from now) not one of his best, but not his worst. i also didn’t like his voice but after listenin to it a few times it doesn’t bother me and i think it is there to bring some reality to the song. like he is rapping about murder and stuff, so by using the retarded voice shows how he is not srs and this song should’t b taken too seriously. i give it a 3.5/5

sik song..all you fuckers complain that he’s not writing serious songs..u cant get anymore serious than this…lyrics are amazing he’s voice is unique and the beat is sik..get a grip people this is going straight to number 1..he’s going to promote it at the mtv movie awards and it will b coming out around the same time as is relapse album..no stoppin this fucker

the first time i heard it i was a little taken aback too but after a few listens i really started to feel it. a lyrical masterpiece and the voice isnt as annoying as some of you are making out. plus, you cant expect him to use his normal voice when hes pretending to be a serial killer! hes adding effect. i really hope its not becoming cool to hate eminem just like many other artists. some of you just need to calm down and appreciate good music. check out for old times sake feat. dr. dre. there is no forced accent there. and i doubt there will be on many other songs, expept the psycho songs and the funny songs. relapse will be great. im looking forward to bagpipes in baghdad…

Anyone who knows real rap will respect the skills Eminem uses in this song. It’s just flat out amazing. I saw someone compared him to Kanye…If that is a serious comparison you should run head first into the wall.

shadys back to the way he was now… when he made infinite, slim shady lp,marshall mathers n eminem show they are the only albums he made sober, he as been on drugs for the last 7 years that must be why he’s music went downhill on the encore album, featured songs on the curtain call album and on the re-up..he’s been sober for the last year now recording music, dre producing, best mate dead, in and out of rehab, a new audience to capture and a point to prove……….whos sayin that relapse 1/2 arent going to be classics?
hes back to be the biggest star is the world AGAIN
