I think as an Eminem fan and as a hip-hop fan in general, there is a certain level of genius that I have come to expect from this man. If the first half dozen listens of “We Made You” are any indication, the first single from Relapse (what was “Crack A Bottle”? Was it really 50 Cent’s?) is missing it.
I guess I should just be happy that this isn’t another moody track about his daughter. Em is really going back to basics on Relapse, channeling bits and pieces from the Slim Shady EP and bigger chunks from his sourly disappointing Encore. At the end of the day, “We Made You,” or incognito single “Crack A Bottle” never resonate the way the rest of his endlessly fascinating catalog does.

couldn’t agree more, although Crack a Bottle was really his and would make a way better first single. And I didn’t find encore sourly disappointing. But yeah this track is pretty bad, and I hate the video.
Whatever happened to his song “I’m Having a Relapse”? A 2 minute poorly produced version of it was leaked last fall and I thought it was awesome. And now it’s nowhere to be seen.
I’m hoping they put Relapse in the final album, and didnt just use it to spark hype.
His album is out mid-late May.
I actually loved I’m having a Relapse, Ive listened to it alot its great. As apposed to…Palin jokes

I’m completely disappointed in “We Made You.” Track lacks creativity, imagination, and even wittiness, which are all characteristics that made me love Eminem, of course with his unique ability to tell a story. “Crack a Bottle” didn’t do much for me either. Haven’t written off Relapse completely yet, but not getting my hopes up at this rate.
I’m much more happy with Em’s lyrics and flow in this song than in “Crack a Bottle.” (Besides the fact that “Crack a Bottle” completely ripped Aes & Del’s “Preservation.”)
THIS IS THE WORST PIECE OF SHIT EVER
complete rubbish. eminem is the new weird al yankovic… the video is almost worse than the song!
ok, the first time I thought i was trippin but i’ve heard this a few times now…did he stick in a f*kin fart sound!?!
In all honesty I didn’t find this song all that bad. At least not as bad as people are making it out to be. Yeah it’s different, but it still has a good beat and in my opinion, very clever lyrics. You can’t say that Eminem is the new Weird Al. If you really think that’s the case you clearly haven’t see the “Without Me” music video. Eminem became a twisted Weird Al a LONG time ago. And Palin jokes are only to be expected. Just listen to the “The Eminem Show” CD. He practically cracks off Bush Administration jokes in every song. I’m just going out on a limb but I’m guessing that he probably has some sort of strong hatred for the Republican party based upon that album. It’s either that or all the sexual publicity Palin has gotten recently that has led him to use her as a target. Although in my opinion, it’s probably a little of both, but that’s just me. And honestly, I couldn’t give two shits about Lindsy Lohan or Jessica Simpson. I have absolutely zero problem with Eminem making fun of them. Heck, I find it funny. I also hate celebrity gossip just as much, so that’s also probably why I don’t care so much about the lyrics of this song. Bottom line, I like it. I think he should have added in Paris Hilton too just for fun.
Another thing too, there’s more to his lyrics than just the song, you HAVE to watch the video to fully understand it. No one can make any remarks about his lyrics here until they have watched the video. Nuff said.
Who is singing the hook on this one?
Jessica Simpson
The song is good, it’s a damn site better than the nonsense poured out on Encore which barring Mosh, Like Toy Soldiers and Spend Some Time was awful. I have to say it’s a typical first single from an Eminem album – pop culture mocking, celebrity bashing fun- let’s hope his next release is a Guilty Conscience or a Way I Am.
who the fuck sings the chorus part to “we made you”???? Damn thats fucked up the bitch aint getting her props on his album.
