Evian Christ was perhaps the first big surprise of 2012. Early in the year, we were engaged by the anonymous producer’s deft use of samples and his refreshing take on the bass music coming out of the UK right now. After all the press his YouTube channel earned him, EC has signed to Tri-Angle Records and has released an mixtape called King and Them, featuring high quality versions of the tracks he’s already put up online. Like before, the highlights are the Tyga and Grouper-sampling “Thrown Like Jacks” and the party-in-a-cave jam “F*ck It None Y’all Don’t Rap.” Check those out below, and download the whole tape here.
