London based grandiose indie folkies Fanfarlo made a name for themselves with their debut Reservoir in 2009, catching the ears of many fans with their confluence of eccentric violin-infused, brass-wielding, worldly folk stylings. The outfit has been rather silent since then — save for their remixed Fire Escape EP last year — until the other day when the announced the first single from the forthcoming yet-untitled Ben Allen produced (Animal Collective, Deerhunter) sophomore album, and even released an accompanying video for it too.

“Replicate” continues to take on epic, multi-instrumentalist folk pop, but is also more polished, tighter, and perhaps even a bit frantic, like it’d belong in a Hitchcock film. Frontman Simon Balthazer had claimed in a recent interview to expect the record to be less folk, and more progressive punk meets pop. View the clip below and be on the lookout for when the album announcement is made.
