Fever Ray Here Before (Vashti Bunyan cover) stream music mp3

Karin Andersson and the Subliminal Kid have teamed up to create their own rendition of Vashti Bunyan’s beautiful acoustic song “Here Before”.  Upon first listen the cover sounds like a b-side from Animal Collective’s Feels with female vocals. It took me a few spins of this track before I really started to appreciate this song.

The Subliminal Kid’s instrumentation started blending in with Karin’s voice as if she was just another instrument. Her high-pitched delivery stopped throwing the song off for me and started fitting in perfectly. Both this cover and the original, Vashti Bunyan version of “Here Before,” are great songs and worth listening to.

Beautiful! I wasn’t aware of this song, so hearing a great cover and the original for the first time was pretty magnificent.
