Florence And The Machine stream music mp3 favorite songs

I absolutely loved Bat For Lashes’ Two Suns. Nobody does what Natasha Khan does better than Natasha Khan, but then I heard Florence and the Machine’s tribal epic “Cosmic Love.” While Florence’s voice doesn’t possess the prowess and dexterity of Natasha’s, the musical arrangement in “Cosmic Love” is Bat For Lashes at her best.

Florence and the Machine gained momentum through the ever powerful BBC Radio (which has also recently launched Little Boots, La Roux, Big Pink, and Dan Black’s careers) and has since played Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds music festivals. “Cosmic Love” is an excellent cut from FatM’s debut album, Lungs, which will be released on July 6th in the UK.

So far, Florence and the Machine has released 3 singles off the album (Kiss With A Fist, Dog Days Are Over, You’ve Got The Love), and a fourth (Rabbit Heart) is coming in less than 2 weeks. She has also done a wonderful job of keeping up a respectable stream of cover songs, covering the Mystery Jets, Beirut, and Cold Wat Kids. I have yet to listen to the album, but I am positive that it will live up to all of the British hype. UK buzz artists don’t let me down often. Read on for some mp3s and let me know what you think of Florence and the Machine.

[audio=http://pmatunes.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/florence-and-the-machine_dog-days-are-over.mp3,Florence And The Machine - Dog Days Are Over, download] On this track, Florence meshes influences from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Bat For Lashes with beautiful layers. This one is my favorite. [audio=http://pmatunes.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/florence-and-the-machine-02-youve-got-the-love.mp3,Florence And The Machine - You've Got The Love, download] This track was originally a b-side for “Dog Days,” but somehow became the third single to promote Lungs. This one falls short, but it’s definitely not bad. [audio=http://pmatunes.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/03-cosmic-love.mp3,Florence And The Machine - Cosmic Love, download] With a gorgeous musical arrangement, this was the track that first put Florence and the Machine on my radar, thanks to Muumuse.

luis, i think you introduced me to florence via my absolute favorite track of ’08 last year: Florence and Kid Harpoon covering the Boss on “Going Down”. SO freaking good.

‘You’ve Got The Love’ is also a cover version, of ‘The Source’. The original is a basically an RnB/Dance track. She’s already pretty big over here, glad you’ve picked up on her!

florence’s voice blows natasha’s away. if florence stole anything from anyone it would be kate bush; as did natasha.
