LA’s Foster the People are definitely getting a lot of (well-deserved) mileage out of their excellent 2010 jam “Pumped Up Kicks” and its summer-sunset, haze-heavy wandering bassline. Latest example is MNDR’s bubbly, eightes’d-out reworking – electro genius Amanda Warner ups the clattering percussion to eleven and brings out the whole thing’s dance floor potential without damaging its hazy, lazy, end-of-the-summer vibe. Distant, rooftop-to-rooftop megaphone vocals intact, whistling solo retained – but this one will make you want to dance. Both Foster the People and MNDR are gaining fast-growing buzz on their own – if this remix is up your alley, check out more by both artists.
