I’m one of the few people I know that wasn’t into Frightened Rabbits’ The Midnight Organ Fight, and one of the new people that wasn’t excited for their follow-up, The Winter of Mixed-Drinks. I still wouldn’t put their new album too high on my list of anticipation for 2010, but its Modest Mouse-sounding lead single, “Swim Until You Can’t See Land” is quite good. The 7″ single was released way back in mid-November along with B-side “Fun Stuff”.

More recently, ginormous and still Modest Mouse-sounding album track, “Nothing Like You” leaked and officially whet my appetite for some of ’s Mixed-Drinks. Listen to “Nothing Like You” below:

I’ve loved Frightened Rabbit the first time I heard “Keep Yourself Warm” and I can’t wait for this new album!
