Gifted Dopamine stream music mp3
[rating:72/100]
I introduced Gifted to the PMA audience for the first time two months ago. A couple of song posts and one awesome remix contest later, this rising duo continues to impress me with their cutting edge sound. The most recent concoction on the behalf of Gifted is an interesting number by the name of “Dopamine.”

The song will be on their upcoming debut album, Presence, but it’s a PMA exclusive for the time being so be extra sure to check it out. Saum G’s production is reminiscent of the abrasive fusion of hip-hop and electro that I’ve come to expect from Gifted. Meanwhile, PJo gives what might the best lyrical performance I’ve heard from him so far.

“Dopamine” definitely amounts to another win for Gifted. These guys have caught my ear and if this track is any indication of what the album sounds like, they’ll have it for quite some time. Are you as ready for Gifted as I am?

such a crazy song, and i mean that in the best way possible. Gifted’s sound can’t be defined. they’re clearly on their way to big things.

Presence can’t come soon enough! If all the songs sound as good as this, we’re in for an amazing album.

I’ve listened to it twice and haven’t made up my mind fully.
The song was going somewhere, I didn’t feel it reach climax.
These guys have serious potential; I don’t think it’s fully realised in this song.
KEEP ON THEM; THEY’RE UP AND COMIN’. DON’T MISS OUT.

I think I have almost every track that PJO/Gifted has released and this is by far one of the sickest tracks I have heard! These guys don’t settle for anything less than WAY over the top! “Dopamine” is so unique, original, and powerful…keep it up guys…can’t wait for Presence!

‘They call us the dopamine, around the world’

Rising from the abyss of college life, Gifted is infusing the underground with some incredible beats and flows. Props to PJo and Saum G for all the hard work they’ve been putting into this.

Without a doubt dopamine embodies the same awesome energy and sound you can expect from gifted. The sound is amazing and original- plus this is probably the only song I know of about a neurotransmitter. Sick concept. I’m counting down the days to Presence- keep it up!

First of all you can tell the singer has no vocal talent, he is using autotune the whole time. and the rhymes, if you can call them that show that this artist is clearly new to the rapping/rhyming game. Give us a song where the lyrics mean something. As for whoever asked about samples, listen to the drums they are clearly samples.

Reply

Gifted April 7, 2009 at 5:37 pm

Marcus, your name is not Marcus and i never had sex with your current girlfriend so no need to cry. But we did have a “thing” causing your jealousy which influences your comment. Objectively speaking, the effect on my vocals is a phaser/flanger, not autotune. Autotune is an effect we used on a verse in our song “Music”. By sampling I was referring to using sounds and sequences from other original copyrighted material. Producers don’t have to pay the inventor of an 808 kick every time they use it in a song… If that’s sampling to u, then yes, we sample. If you’d rather have a live feel, come out to a show. We perform with a full live band. Cheers.

The accent/diction feels kinda forced imo. It’s missing that flow that makes ppl like Kid Cudi so listenable.

I don’t know dude, I’m sorry. I took so many whip its that i can’t even remember what happened 2 minutes ago, so i don’t even remember a single rhyme that came out of here. But I judge songs based on the feeling I get to it, and this felt epic.

1) Rhymes were so amateur.

2) These posts are SO suspect.

3) Beat sounded like a 90s Euro-Disco-Pop song.

4) If someone doesn’t like the song, don’t immediately jump on their comment. You have to take the ups with the downs. You will be eaten alive in the big bad world if you get upset by everyone.

Song: 2/10.

Production Quality: 5/10.

Rapper: 1/10.

If I was the producer, I would quit the group and make techno. No joke.
