I don’t remember when the last time was that I strung those words together, “new Glass Candy,” but here we go – “The Possessed” is a new track from the band, premiered by Johnny Jewel at a Paris fashion show. Ida No’s vocals are her customarily otherworldly, sublimely odd, as though they were beamed from space; Jewel’s instrumentals have a minimalist, sweeping, ’80s-inflected vibe – basically, Glass Candy’s in fine form, and we can’t wait to hear more.

This version’s apparently an extended take on what’ll appear on Italians Do It Better’s forthcoming compilation After Dark II, which we’ve been anticipating since the summer but which still has no release date. We’ll keep you posted!
