Last season, I held a Gossip Girl vs Chuck Music Showdown, but doesn’t Gossip Girl vs 90210 make much more sense? Yeah, I thought so too. Gossip Girl and 90210 both premiered on Monday (9.01) and Tuesday (9.02) respectively. Here’s the music that I managed to track down from both shows.
So far Gossip Girl’s music doesn’t really reflect on its soundtrack at all.

OMG thank you for posting “That’s Not My Name.” That song has been literally on loop in my head since I heard it on the show, but I had no idea who did it until now.

I am in love with both of the shows, but I’ve only just been introduced to 90210 and I’ve read the Gossip Girl books and seen more episodes, but I absolutely ADORE the music they use! But I’d have to say that Gossip Girl has better music ;P

Umm just so you know, Gossip Girl already had Ting Tings and MGMT featured in episodes…last season. So actually 90210 is ripping off their music. So that means GG wins
The only thing about 90210’s soundtrack is that it was nothing new. That MGMT song has been on Gossip Girl, plus Charlie Bartlett and anything else trying to be hip in the past year. Same with the Ting Tings. The House Bunny had two Ting Tings songs in it. Adele? Coldplay? Getting pretty tired, wouldn’t you say?

Both are TERRIBLE shows, but if they are judged on soundtracks alone, not only would 90210 win hands down, it may just be one of the best shows on tv!
